Chlorella vulgaris CK-5
Powder type / micro powder Type
Chlorella is a single-celled green algae with a diameter of 3 to 8 microns.
For its growth, it undergoes photosynthesis. Unlike ordinary animal and plant cells, which multiply through 2 divisions, Chlorella repeats cell division at an extraordinary rate – 4 divisions within 20 hours, which defines it as a microorganism of great vitality.
What is the difference between Japanese Chlorella CK-5 and other Chlorella species?
There are about 20 different species of Chlorella on the planet.
Established in 1964, a Japanese company that pioneered the cultivation and production of Chlorella, was the world’s first to develop a strain called CK-5, a high-quality grade Chlorella in a completely different class and capacity. Today, it has the best quality in its class:
- As a rule, the cell wall of Chlorella is thick, which slows down the process of its processing by the digestive system. The CK-5 strain is unique in that it has a thinner cell wall compared to other common Chlorella varieties. This increases the absorption of vitamins and trace elements from Chlorella up to 82%!
- Chlorella CK-5 has an excellent balance and contains an abundance of vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids, fibers, and chlorophyll. Its nutritional value is approximately 10 times greater than that of green and yellow vegetables, and it has an amino acid index at the level of ‘100’. This variety is a good substitute, especially for those vegetables that tend to be scarce in the daily human diet.
- Polysaccharides, known for their immune cell activation properties, have attracted a lot of attention in recent years. Chlorella extract contains polysaccharides, glycoproteins, and nucleic acids, but Chlorella CK-5 facilitates the secretion and binding of polysaccharides outside the cells, which is also due to the thinness of its cell wall.
Proteins of this Chlorella contain:
- Vitamins (13 types): total carotene, vitamin B1, vitamin B2, niacin, pantothenic acid, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, folic acid, biotin, vitamin C, vitamin D, vitamin E, vitamin K1;
- Minerals (12 types): sodium, iron, magnesium, calcium, potassium, phosphorus, zinc, copper, manganese, selenium, chromium, molybdenum;
- Essential fatty acids (2 types): linoleic acid, linolenic acid;
- Food fibers (2 types): water-soluble food fibers, insoluble food fibers;
- Chlorophyll (2 types): chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b;
- Amino acids (18 types): isoleucine, leucine, lysine, phenylalanine, methionine, threonine, tryptophan, valine, cystine, tyrosine, arginine, histidine, alanine, aspartic acid, glutamic acid, glycine, proline, serine.
